Cookie Policy

Last updated · 2026-08-23

This page explains the cookies and similar technologies used on https://freeplaygg.com. It supplements the Privacy Policy.

1. What a cookie is

A cookie is a small text file that a website, or a company working with that website, stores in your browser. It lets the site remember something between page loads. Related technologies — local storage, session storage and pixel tags — do similar jobs and are covered by this policy too.

2. Cookies this site sets itself

None. FreePlay.gg does not set any first-party cookie. Everything the games need to remember is kept in your browser's local storage instead, which is never transmitted to a server:

  • fpgg:best:* — your personal best score for each game.
  • fpgg:plays, fpgg:recent — how many times you have played each game, so the site can show your records.
  • fpgg:muted — whether you turned game sound off.
  • fpgg:ms:diff, fpgg:mm:size, fpgg:sp:n — the difficulty or board size you last chose.

All of it is anonymous, stays on your device, and can be removed at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser. Removing it only resets your scores; nothing else about the site changes.

3. Cookies set by third parties

Google AdSense and its advertising partners

Advertising on this site is delivered by Google. Google and its partners may set cookies to:

  • measure how many times an ad was shown and whether it was clicked;
  • limit how often you see the same advertisement (frequency capping);
  • detect and prevent advertising fraud;
  • show advertising relevant to your interests, where you have consented to that.

The best known of these is the DoubleClick / IDE cookie set on doubleclick.net, and Google's own __gads and __gpi cookies. Google publishes the full and current list of how it uses cookies in advertising at business.safety.google/adscookies.

Analytics

If site analytics are enabled, Google Analytics may set _ga and _ga_* cookies to distinguish one visitor from another in aggregate reports. These are used only to see which games are popular and where the site is slow.

4. Your choices

  • Consent message. If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, a consent message appears on your first visit. Until you answer it, advertising and analytics storage stay denied. You can reopen it at any time through the privacy link it provides.
  • Google Ads Settings. Turn off ad personalisation across all Google products at google.com/settings/ads.
  • Industry opt-outs. aboutads.info/choices (US) and youronlinechoices.com (EU).
  • Browser settings. Every major browser can block third-party cookies or delete cookies on exit. Look for "Privacy" or "Cookies and site data" in your settings.

Blocking cookies does not stop you playing anything on this site. Every game works with cookies fully disabled.

5. Changes

Advertising partners change their technology from time to time, and this page is updated when they do. The date at the top always reflects the current version.
